The Headgear for my Dragon Slayer's Bastion Set (Pics to come soon).

This Original Mask is hand crafted and molded from sturdy 8/9 oz Veg Tan Leather and 5 oz Leather. Unlike many other masks, the strap is riveted into place with high quality 5 oz Leather and Buckle, so you don't have to worry about tying or undoing any knots.

This mask comes with an Ultra-Comfort feature, the entirety of the back side of the mask is covered in a soft suede leather to provide additional comfort for extended use.

I have heard you are part of a group called the SCA, I have visited their website but I want to know more, can you take a video of part of the festival or something? Also you craft these armors for tournaments, I would like to learn more about them, can you elaborate?

Well I actually havent gone to an event in the past 2 years (time always tends to slip away from me) but to get a better look at a large event called Guld Wars go here: [link] its a few years old but that really doesnt matter as its in a fixed time period fantasy =P for more information on the organization go to [link] Most of my wares are made from 8/9 oz leather, which is perfect for larp but SCA requires 16 oz leather to participate in fighting. I have made a suit of armor and a couple of commissions, but that thickness is too thick and heavy for masks so I use the lighter stuff unless otherwise noted.

I know it's supposed to make me think of dragon skin (I'm assuming) but the way it's SHAPED kind of reminds me of a bird.

Yes it’s suppose to resemble dragon like skin, however I really wasn’t going for a dragon shape for this portion, more of an evil overlord/warrior feel to it. I didn’t really design this mask to be a standalone piece, more part of a collection, I should have some pics today (weather permitting) of more of the set together. ^_^

Bwahahaha You have felt the passive bonus to this Helm: Optical Illusion Disorientation - Targets are confused if you are facing them or not, causing a 4 second delay before pulling aggro. This effect can stack when worn with set.

I remember something familiar was made and the results where funny comments like this: "is that his ass?" so i wouldnt always call it a passive effect :P that case had to do with the Transformers designs on the major movie by the way :XD:

This turned out great! I like the many layers. I also like the two piece design so that it looks like it could be worn individuallly or together.

very impressive, a true statement of your skill with leather.
I have to say though it's not how I'd have designed it, but that might be because i like my top half to end wider than my lower half, creating a cheekbone effect.
even so, great craftmanship ^^

^_^ Thank you very much! Yeah I see where that may add a better "evil" look, however with the bulkieness of the pauldren it would have been a hindrance when I move around, so I designed it as part of the set to work together. Also I didnt want it to look like a fanning headress when the top portion is worn by itself. >_< lol

hmm, yeah I guess you've got a good point when it comes to the paundron. I had to review the sketch again but I get your point. a broader headpiece would get in the way of that skull. though maybe if you mount that a bit more outward it would work. make your shoulderbase broader at it... might be fun for a future project, if I get into leather armor more.

XD at your second statement, no you definately don't want that. and I'll agree it looks more into proportion on your face without the undermask. Perhaps there is a way to scale the undermask down a tad? if not I'll just have to get used to it.

You should try it, it’s defiantly a fun medium, and there is so much you can do with it, I'm still learning and refining my techniques, but it’s one of my favorite mediums to work in. The third tier can be removed and still cover the entirety of the face, I may make one in the future like this and see how it works, but for now I'll stick with this design. ^_^

ah, yes, yes in my mind that does work. Well i'm sure I'll see it come by if you decide to do so. If not, no problem. You seem content enough with how it looks now, and that is all that matters, right?

Yep, its sort of a 4-way cross section with large D rings to connect all the straps.
